Laser Treatment: Could be THE ANSWER to Toenail Fungus Sufferers
Laser Treatment: after researching and reviewing articles and podiatry claims, I am more and more convinced that the pinpoint laser treatment plus nail restoration using the
seems to be the most promising combination for immediate results and long term healing of onychomycosis, more commonly known as toenail fungus.
Toenail Fungus often presents as yellowish discoloration and thickening with underlying debris of the toenails. It is most commonly seen on the large toes, but these changes can occur on any or all of the toenails. The medical technology company, Patholase, developed the pinpoint laser treatment researching various spectrums of light to determine the one that would pass through the nail without damaging it, yet be able to vaporize the germs and kill the fungus that lives under the nail. This technology was originally developed for use in the dental industry.
The pinpoint laser procedure involves the use of an invisible light and usually takes less than 30 minutes. It has none of the side effects of the more dangerous oral medications and claims to have nearly a 90% success rate in its clinical studies to successfully and safely destroy the fungus. Besides the obvious embarrassment of living with a toenail fungus infection, it often causes pain, infection and bone spurs.
Sufferers of chronic toenail infection now have a solution which may give them long lasting improvement. The down side is that it can take from 6 months to a year for a more normal nail to regrow in place of the infected one. That’s where KeryFlex™ comes in!
